This was thr first way I started using bitcoin, as a savings account. We just had over a 50% price crash, but I’m not worried. In fact, I’m excited because this gives me an opportunity to stack more sats. In case you are unaware, this is the phrase we bitcoiners use for saving.
To do this, I have created a lightning wallet using Blue Wallet. It’s on my own node, but it is a custodial wallet, but I am still verifying it on my own node. I don’t use any exchanges any more. I could probably stack more sats if I shilled some exchanges, but I like to pay myself using Strike instead. Three is still KYC involved and I’m not thrilled about this, but the purpose of this excersise is to see how much $5 a day worth of paying yourself first will be worth in 1 year.
Strike is the cheapest and easiest way to pay yourself bitcoin. It’s also instant. Buying bitcoin on Bisq is an interesting experience, but it’s not as easy to use this option yet. I’m just creating an invoice and paying it with Strike.
